The firm includes 21 lawyers, 10 contracts specialists, 1 corporate paralegal and 6 technology, finance and administration professionals. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to join our team as a mid- to senior-level associate, focused on venture financing (both company and investor side) and other corporate work, at either our Massachusetts or New York office. This individual will have extensive front-line interaction with clients, counseling senior management about transaction structure and leading negotiations, and will be responsible for drafting/revising documents and closing transactions (with support from our other lawyers and corporate paralegal). We require candidates to be well-versed in industry standards and key issues in these types of agreements, including substantial experience negotiating private equity financings based on NVCA model documents, and to have excellent legal writing skill.
JD degree required, and admission to practice (or eligible to seek admission to practice) in Massachusetts or New York, as applicable.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in private law practice is required.
